Maya’s Rainforest Handcrafted Shampoos and Conditioners are not simply haircare products, but a reflection of Maya’s personal input, experience, and requirements.
Formulated with selected fruit & plant extracts such as mangosteen, green tea, apple and lemon, they offer a blend of moisturising ingredients that revitalise dull hair and protect its natural properties.
The Shampoos and Conditioners are designed to provide all-day moisturising effects, strengthen hair follicle connections and encourage hair growth, making hair more manageable, soft, healthy, and shiny.

Rainforest Handcrafted Scalp Serum by Maya Karin
Maya’s Rainforest Handcrafted Scalp Serum promotes healthy hair growth, particularly those with thinning or weakened hair. Regular use increases moisture retention and repairs damaged hair.
Enriched with vitamin B5 and apple stem cells, it strengthens hair from root to tip and reduces hair fall. The serum is designed to strengthen hair follicles, delay the aging process at a cellular level, prevent hair drop, repair damaged hair, and encourage fresh, thicker hair growth.
With this all-new haircare line, Maya aims to enhance hair health and beauty while aligning with sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
The Creation of the Dream
In addition to building up a name for herself as a leading actress and singer, Maya previously acted as Brand Ambassador to several leading global haircare product providers. Taking care of her hair has always been a priority, as looking good in front of the camera is very much part of the job. So, it will come as no surprise that she recognises the importance of quality haircare products and the types of ingredients they require.
Working with her fund management and branding colleague of almost 20 years, Dato' Jeremy Smeeton, Maya was introduced to his business partner, Mr Michael Cheow, owner of the luxury hair and skincare brand C. Michael of London. Michael’s products have been manufactured in London and Kuala Lumpur since the 1980s and have also been successfully marketed across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
Maya realised this was the perfect fit for her to develop her range of shampoos, conditioners, and serums. Infusing her intimate knowledge of local ingredients, she created the ideal haircare combinations with the support of Michael’s existing pharmaceutical and manufacturing team. The Malaysian-themed Rainforest Handcrafted range of hair products by Maya Karin was soon conceived and has now being brought to market.
